The purpose of this blog is to share my life, Biblical and cultural reflection, creative ideas, and resources that I’ve found helpful along my journey following Christ in our rapidly changing culture.

Here is a little about me and my family:

I live in my hometown- The Noke- with my wife and three little girls. I am currently serving as a youth and young adult minister at St. Jn Lutheran Church where I have the honor of walking alongside young people and inviting them to participate in the Kingdom of God.   We really love living in Roanoke, sharing life with family, and investing in relationships.   Although I grew up in SW county, we live in the city and think our neighborhood is the seriously the coolest place to live on the East coast.  When not with my wife, my kids, or someone’s kid, you may find me reading, writing, dreaming about ideas, playing a sport, or watching a movie.

I’ve also had the privilege of a lot of education. If you are interested in my schools. I studied Religion and History while playing football at William and Mary, and got two Masters degrees from Fuller Seminary in Los Angeles focusing on theology, mission, and discipleship in post-modern, post-Christian culture.
